Yet Another Cold Sunday: Weather Warnings for Most of Bulgaria

Code Yellow weather warnings were in place for 22 of a total of 28 regions in Bulgaria, because of low temperatures.

The regions affected are the following: Gabrovo, Haskovo, Kustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pazardjik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Shumen, Silistra, Sliven, Sofia (region and city), Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Vraca and Yambol.

Forecasters were expecting morning temperatures with lows at -14 degrees Centigrade in large parts of central and northern Bulgaria.

During the day, inhabitants in Stara Zagora, Yambol, Sliven, Burgas and Varna will be able to enjoy mild daytime temperatures, ranging from 2 to 5 degrees.

At around -5 degrees, Vidin and Montana will have the lowest daytime temperatures in the country.
