2016/17 ski season opens on December 10 in Bulgaria’s Pamporovo, on December 17 in Bansko and Borovets

The ski season in Bulgaria’s mountain winter resort of Pamporovo will be officially opened on December 10 2016.

This was announced by Pamporovo AD executive director Mariyan Belyakov at a news conference on November 29. The official ceremony will be at noon.

However, the slopes will be open for use from 8.45am, and the resort will keep to its tradition of opening the runs free-of-charge on the first day.

From December 11 to 18, a lift pass will cost 39 leva, increasing to 55 leva from then on.

Earlier, it was announced that the 2016/17 ski season in Bansko will open on December 17 and on the same day in Borovets.
