“As the snow flies, on a cold and grey Chicago morning, another little baby child is born, in the ghetto …….”
When you walk the streets of Elhovo, and you see Elvis Presley’s Cadillac, don’t be surprised, because that is where it is located. They showed a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado, the 2-door version with a hardtop, on Bulgarian National Television, saying it belonged to Elvis.
According to the report, the vehicle was purchased at an auction in the United States and then given to a Russian businessman as a gift. That gentleman supposedly decided to leave it in Elhovo.
This vehicle has an automatic transmission and an 8 cylinder, 344 horsepower engine, more than enough for a smooth ride around the block.
The car looks as if it had just left the assembly line, 58 years after it actually did. Someone involved with the Caddy told BNT, it would be parked in a hotel garage during the winter. In the spring of 2017, it will be moving around again.
Elvis supposedly bought his first Cadillac in 1955, which burned out a few months later. In the following years, he put together an entire collection of those fancy vehicles, which, according to today’s owner, included this classic car built in 1958. At some point, he started giving Cadillacs to friends and other people, as presents.
Elvis Presley, who died of an overdose in August of 1977, never hit Bulgarian soil, but his Cadillac Eldorado obvioulsy might have. On the other hand, an Elvis expert told FF Magazine, the “King of Rock” had only one Cadillac in Pink, which was still located at Graceland. If he is right, the pink Caddy in Elhovo is just a pink Caddy in Elhovo.
