Maybe not too healthy, but cheap and available around any corner in Sofia: Snacks of all kinds. The more chocolate bars we bite into, the more elegant our dentist’s car will be.

At the Mineral Springs in downtown Sofia, hot natural mineral water (46 degrees Celsius) is running 24/7. Hundreds of Bulgarians come here every day, in order to fill up their plastic bottles. They believe this water is very healthy.

This used to be the grill restaurant “Pri Yafata”. On its sign it still says they offer live music. But the thick layer of dust on tables and chairs tells a different story.

The owner of this Brabus G-Class, which almost looks like a tank, wants to make an impression. He does not want to leave the slightest doubt that he is the coolest guy on Earth. With an average Sofia salary, one would have to save every penny, without eating or paying rent, for 20 years, in order to be able to afford this ugly vehicle.

The “haunted house”, or officially “House of Strawberries” in Ulica San Stefano, has been empty for many years. How wonderful it looks! It is unclear whether the owner will have it renovated at some point, before it falls apart.
