Gas Stations in Bulgaria: Rompetrol Seeking to Become More Competitive

The Romanian oil giant Rompetrol is spending millions, in an effort to modernize their gas stations. According to Romanian media reports, the company has so far invested 7 million Euro into its modernization programme in Romania. The neighbouring countries, including Bulgaria, are to follow now.

Rompetrol is active in all areas connected to oil, including drilling. It owns the largest refinery in Romania, located it Navodari. A total of 1,000 gas stations in seven countries are part of the group, which employs 7,000 people.

In Bulgaria, Rompetrol runs 55 gas stations, at this stage.
