There are “photographers” and photographers. Yes, the digital age, a new generation of photographers … bla bla bla. We know all of that. But this is Antoni Georgiev, a billiant, real photographer, who has developed real photos, using stinking chemicals in a darkroom. Of course he is digital by now. But all of that does not matter here. What matters: Antoni from Sofia has an eye and a bold approach.
He turns ugliness into beauty. At the same time he sees beauty in ugliness. But he sees beauty in beauty too, in simple objects, in contrasts, in anything. On top of that, Antoni has ideas. He tries a lot of techniques. He shoots places nobody else would enter, such as abandoned Sofia underpasses, which stink.
On top of ugly apartment buildings in the center of Sofia, he will shoot every inch of ugliness he finds and turn it all into beauty. In these cases, he actually shoots panoramic images and uploads them to Google Maps. This is only one of his many panos, which you can turn back and forth or zoom in on:
His stills, no matter if he creates portaits, objects, or any kind of composition, are at least just as stunning. Some examples:
And, last but not least, a breathtaking portrait:

Did I mention he travelled extensively?
