The French chamber of commerce in Bulgaria has changed its name and is now the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Bulgaria (CCIFB), the association said on September 18.

The new name is part of a concerted international drive by French bilateral business associations across the globe, CCIFB general director Stephane Delahaye said.

The name change was unveiled on September 17, when the chamber also celebrated its ninth anniversary, with French ambassador to Bulgaria Xavier Lapeyre de Cabanes and caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva.

Speaking to assembled guests Lapeyre de Cabanes said that he was keen to present Bulgaria’s potential to French investors, adding that exports of Bulgarian goods to France has recorded strong growth recently.
