Sofia’s Ariana Lake ice rink opens on December 8

The ice rink at Ariana Lake in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia was scheduled to open at noon on December 8 2013.

The opening of the ice rink, at 1400 sq m billed as the biggest in the Balkans, was planned to coincide with Students’ Day in Bulgaria.

The rink is open 24 hours a day.

Admission is five leva and renting ice skates costs four leva. Four hundred pairs of skates are available for rent.

The rink will be open until the end of March 2014.
