Poland eyes lower gas prices from Russia’s Gazprom – economy minister

The Polish government hopes it will be possible to renegotiate gas prices with Russian Gazprom as the gas market is slowly becoming more client-friendly, Economy Minister Janusz Piechocinski told reporters on Monday.

“We hope that in Central and Eastern Europe the time has come to talk with Gazprom about renegotiation of gas rate because the market is becoming more friendly to recipients than to suppliers,” Piechocki said.
