The ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Sofia Camillo Zuccoli and Belgian ambassador to Bulgaria Anick Van Calster hosted a concert of Cantate Domino choir at the Vrana palace outside Sofia on July 6.

This was the opening concert of the Belgian Royal Boy’s and Men’s Choir during a Bulgarian tour that will continue until July 19 and will include performances in Rousse, Varna and Plovdiv, among others.

The event was attended by some 400 guests, including the Apostolic Nuncio and other ambassadors to Bulgaria, as well representatives of the religious, academic, cultural and artistic circles.

In his address, Zuccoli underlined the spiritual thread that binds – “through the sublime music of the choir and the common religious faith” – Bulgaria, Belgium, the Order of Malta and Italy, which has been the seat of the Order since 1834.
