More than 2,000 people were evacuated from more than 20 hospitals, and public buildings in several Polish cities on Tuesday after various institutions received a number of emailed bomb threats, which later turned out to be false.

In Warsaw, a number of hospitals as well as the Attorney General’s office were evacuated.

About 300 employees were evacuated from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Cracow.

Email warnings were also received at public institutions in Szczecin, on the Baltic coast, as well as in the Silesian cities of Katowice and Jelenia Gora.
