British rock legends Status Quo are to have a concert in Sofia in the Bulgarian capital city’s National Palace of Culture, NDK, on October 18 2012, according to the band’s website.

The Status Quo concert in Bulgaria is preceded by an appearance at Bucharest’s Sala Palatului the previous day and followed on November 5 by a concert at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall.

Status Quo, who over the years have notched up more than 60 chart entries in the UK, including 22 in the UK  top ten, have their antecedents in a group of musicians who got together in 1962, with the band changing names a number of times, becoming The Status Quo in 1967 and just Status Quo two years later.

Ticket information may be found on the band’s website
